Tiger Woods Chip Shot
Tiger Woods Chip Shot
Description
You know Tiger used to have a near-model RST swing. While that's changed, his short game mechanics remain fantastic (despite recent struggles due mainly to lack of practice). Find out exactly how he compares to what I've been teaching you in the Chipping How-To Guide. Be sure to watch the video now because you may be surprised by what his wrists do in the backswing of his chipping stroke.
Video Practice Points
- A look at Tiger Woods' chipping technique illustrates some of the issues covered in the Chipping How To Guide
- Tiger sets up with a very narrow stance, the ball off the inside of his right foot, and 60-70% of his weight on his left foot
- He gets some wrist hinge - not as much as a pitch shot, but more than just "rocking the triangle" back & through
- His arms stay straight - practice with the RotaryConnect if you struggle with this
- His hands lead at impact, he doesn't let the left wrist break down, and he keeps his lower body soft for a little knee action through the shot
