Chuck, need some very important clarification here. In the Goat code video series you have discussed that you don't want any rotation of the shoulders from the top of the backswing to avoid going out toward the ball (i.e. Over the Top Move). In this video you also discussed that this persons lead arm is pinned across the chest which could be construed as "Keeping your back to the target" as long as possible from the DTL view. What I am trying to process is how to get the lead shoulder away from the head (which is EXACTLY what all the great (GOAT) ball strikers do) but without the hands moving outward toward the ball. As you know, the club continues (what looks like downward from the DTL view) under the swing plane line and that allows it to strike from the inside of the golf ball. In my opinion, this is the Magic Move or Secret . If you can explain or clarify how this works that would be AWESOME as I have not been able to put those two together. Is the Lead Shoulder turning while the right shoulder stays back and moves downward??? Thank you in advance!!! PS - Keep the AWESOME GOAT series detailed videos coming!!!

The lead shoulder need not ever be moved out from under the chin, it gets moved by the trail side throwing motion. If you try and move it, you'll rotate incorrectly. The next video I'm working on now will cover this but in an indirect way, but you'll see you need never move that shoulder.

Chuck, would a correct interpretation be to think of the body movement as…diagonal and back from the right hip, and then a downward body motion into the ground, proceeded by a diagonal and back left hip…meaning the throwing motion should be at the ball into the ground…instead of “around” the body with rotation? To me, the “feel” of this would be that the hips stay “open” as long as possible?

It's a bit difficult to explain in words, the next video will cover all this in detail

Hmm. This makes sense to me because in my swing…even when I don’t try not to rotate, when I record my swing, I notice that when I just focus on throwing from the top… I still get more body rotation than what you’re teaching. I literally almost feel like my right leg braces for the wing at the top…meaning it hardly moves, and I’m still rotating too much. Maybe I’ll try squatting more ( the tiger ass drop drill to limit rotation..not sure what else to do.

I'm working on a video for this as it's not easy to understand without a full explanation in the context of the swing.
