I have a question about the distance between the hands and the body during the downswing.

I have a question about the distance between the hands and the body during the downswing. When I watch pros or Chuck's swing, I notice that their hand position is slightly further away from the body (when the shaft is parallel to the target) compared to the address position. For example, the hand position is slightly outside the chin line. When I look at my swing, my hand position actually becomes closer to the body or remains the same. Is this a problem? I suspect that this may be hindering my release or body rotation. Thanks!

Hello Yoseop. There is normal shaft droop in the downswing as the hands will be slightly higher at impact versus address position. You don't want them getting too far away in the downswing or disconnected. More than likely you are incorrect at setup or you are too deep at the top dropping them a bit further behind coming down. Happy to take a look for you.
