This is kind of a random first post, because I learned something here today.

Hi, This is kind of a random first post, because I learned something here today. Long story, but ended up stuck at home with nothing to do. So finally set up the SC300i I'd bought last year and just went and measured my swing speed with a 7 iron in my garage (not hitting balls - have to dig out my net from the basement). This started out kind of sad, around 60-65 mph, which is pretty consistent with my performance lately (which I'm not very happy about) of hitting that club about 130-135. I'd been watching some of the GOAT videos here lately, so decided to try some stuff. I figured it would be best to start from the beginning, so mainly concentrated on the backswing and motion from the top. Also set up my iPad to record a few swings. About 200-300 swings (scattered through the day with watching videos here in-between), I'm now seeing swing speeds right around 80, as high as 86. Very interesting. I don't know how accurate the SC300i is in that mode, but an average of 20 swings going from 65 to 80 has to be something real. So what I learned: - clean your grips - if your worried about throwing your club through the garage door since it feels like it might slip out of your hand, it's not helping your swing  - really, it's time to get them replaced. - I concentrated on the videos in "the GOAT code" up to "wide glide wide" - getting everything wider makes a big difference. - being able to measure results is huge. It makes it much easier to start to understand how a swing feels and how that relates to what it really was. - biggest thing in terms of results - relaxing my arms. If I do everything else (more or less) right, there's a 10 mph difference right there, and yes, it starts to get closer to "effortless" (really not there yet, but closer). Thanks Chuck.

Awesome Mark. I agree with your points as well. People often overlook their grips which makes a huge difference. As we always say (regarding monitor) you need some type of feedback when changing your swing. Albeit a mirror, camera, or speed radar you need to know if the move is applying a difference in real terms. Appreciate the post and lets us know if we can help more.
