I have been working on the proper shifting of the hips and keeping my head back.

I have been working on the proper shifting of the hips and keeping my head back to avoid forward movement through the swing. Also working on releasing with loose wrists. I grabbed this image recently out of a swing video and was fairly pleased with my position accept for the hands coming into impact. They are slightly back behind the ball and I know they should be forward at this point right before contact. I am used to the ball placement being farther back with my mid irons so this may have something to do with it. Question: what drill can I use to reinforce a more forward position of my hands at impact?

Hello John. Sometimes the camera can be deceiving with angles. I would use the GDP Drill first. Practice smaller shots starting in GDP to reach the desired lean at impact. Work from here into the J Release Video especially if you have an impact bag. The sequence using trail hand only and getting the hips in the correct position will help you understand why the arms/hands are having to play catch up.
Thank you!
