Just became a new member as I think this swing methodology looks interesting.

Hi, Just became a new member as I think this swing methodology looks interesting. However, I am right handed but play lefty (lead side dominant). The GOAT code is very trail side oriented and I like the theory behind it but I wonder if it would be a bad idea for me to try to teach my trail side (non-dominant side) to control most of the swing. Any members that have experience with my specific situation? Potentially worth noting is that I am a decent player with decent speed already as I am relatively short at 5' 8" with a driver swing speed of around 115 and a handicap of 4. But as most golfers I am still searching for improvement and exploring the golf swing further.

Hello Emilio. Knowing how to swing from both sides will provide lots of added benefit. Chuck and myself can swing trail or lead side based. They both have their pros and cons. If your right handed but play lefty I would assume your right hand is pretty dominant. But, your left still is necessary to transfer speed from core rotation in the swing. Although in a lead side based swing this is more a passive conduct of power from trail arm. I think it depends. Do you need more speed, or accuracy to reach the level of golf you want? You might be dominating too much with your lead side to not get any benefit from your trail. Just a few thoughts.
