I have a quick question.

I have a quick question. I have been watching the Goat Code videos but live in Chicago and the weather is not allowing me to play, yet. However, I took a trip to Florida and played two rounds. I played very well and can't wait for my season to start. My question is regarding the flared front foot. Whenever I attempted to flare my front foot, I hooked the ball. I soon realized that I should not do that unless I need to draw the ball. Is there a reason why this would happen? Am I OK to just keep my feet square? Thank you!

Hello David. No problem keeping the lead foot square. I think when you flared the foot you tended to rotate the shoulder a little more through the strike causing the hook. Usually the shoulder spin will lead to a block but it can also cause a little bit of a pull hook because you will tend to hang back a hair & spin.
