Craig, would love to see how the GOAT code approach works from the green side bunkers, short sided, soft sand, hard packed sand, fairway bunkers, deep bunkers etc. Give us a masterclass on all of the different types of bunker shots including setup, thought process, approach to managing distance, getting over a large lip, club selection, etc. All kinds of details can be done on this topic. Looking forward to hearing and seeing more. Thank you very much!!!
Hi Craig, Member here for over 4 years and never really used to help my swing. Now, I have 4 weeks to at least be able to swing the club so I can have fun playing with my son after probably 10 years during our vacation in 4 weeks. I'm into the GOAT code a bit, haviing done the putting segment. Can you lay out a plan for me to succeed in 4 weeks? Thanks, Marc
Hi Craig, I find I have trouble gauging distance with chipping and pitching with the shaft lean and wrist break from the beginning lessons with the GOAT code drills. I seem to have too much built in speed. I have always used a more upright, neutral shaft angle, a more neutral attack angle (when nice tight lies as opposed to downward when dealing with rough and getting too much grass between the ball and clubface) and more bounce to interact with the turf rather than a downward blow to rely on club to ball contact simultaneously. Thoughts?
Craig..I struggle lining up to my putts. My routine is to get the line.. Approach the putt from the rear .. Place my putter behind the ball aligned to my line... But when I get settled in to putt I tend to be off line... Most misses are left.. But occasionally overcompensate. My perspective is different over the ball than from what I see assessing and settling on a line... The result is a lack of confidence over the putt.. Especially short putts 3 to 6 ft.
