This message is to the instructor(sorry I don’t know your name) I am a former professional golfer just turned 50 and trying for q school and hadn’t really played for 15 years and was so lost when I cane back. I was a natural self taught golfer and used athletic motions from other sports like soccer, baseball, football etc, You don’t think about opening hips and shifting weight to throw a ball but it’s the exact same motion. Your right side video just clicked for me as I was struggling, I was so concentrated on backswing position and that’s what ruined my career in the first place as I wanted a “pretty swing” when I absolutely striped it before that, and then lost it. This reminds me of a drill I used to do with myself and students, if I held out my hand as if you’re going to swing with just your right hand open and then slapped my hand at impact, virtually everyone can do this and it’s simple or organize movement. It also teaches you to come back and hit the sweet spot. I went into garage and just focused on right hand and not so much about creating 100 degree turn and then swing down and then turning- I was shan…. Balls and I hadn’t shanked a ball since I was 5, hitting the sweet spot is something I almost always did without thinking. I’ve always swing hard from the top too. I shift a bit of weight and then fire with right hand and got away from it or forgot it. Thanks for the tip that’s got me hitting it like I was 25 again and consistently on the sweet spot. I’m swinging an 8 iron without much effort with my body at 100-104 mph consistent and driver back over 120 and I’m 5’9”. You don’t see qb’s firing their hips open, in fact the most power they get is through the release of their right hand. Rodgers can flick it 40 yards. I can’t say thank you enough my friend. I’ve been a member for a long time as I agreed with you since the beginning.
