This is my experience with the GOAT code so far.

This is my experience with the GOAT code so far. The learning process makes perfect sense to me but I feel sure there are others like me having trouble with the "doing" part. I'm up to adding the lead hand in the chipping stage and really struggling. In fact I'm stuck on it. There are many things to work on and when I focus on one or two the others goes wrong. I then focus on those things and the first things go wrong. There is a lot going on that needs to be practiced. When I can't hit more than one or two good chips out of 10 I stop as it becomes very frustrating hitting little pulls, skinny chips and weak blocks.. I'm working on: - most weight on lead leg - forward press - bend the lead leg slightly on backswing - turn your core back slightly - take the clubface back square - extend the wrist - keep the weight on the lead leg and don't push off the trail leg - keep the arms from taking over by using your core - think of keeping the clubface square as long as possible How do you think of all those things at once? I know one or two should have been mastered in previous stages but not all. I'm practising in my backyard and doing lots of videoing. I can see one or two good things but I just cant get to the point where I'm chipping consistently. I do go back to the trail hand chipping drill and while I do that ok it hasn't helped my 2 handed chipping. I was thinking of having some video reviews later as I moved onto fuller shots but I may have to bring that forward. Or do I go back to the beginning and start again?

If you are thinking all those things when adding the lead hand it sounds like you didn't have enough reps prior to put the brain to bed. Understanding there are a lot of checkpoints this is a movement done by feel. You may be trying to stay too stagnant and not letting a little bit of weight movement and momentum help you process correctly. You can post a video here. Happy to take a look.
