Craig .. Seems some of Chuck's videos can be contradictory.

Craig .. Seems some of Chuck's videos can be contradictory... Understand each is done to emphasize specific feels etc.. However, here's one I'd like to get clarity on: In one video he suggested we keep our elbow pits supinated.. Elbows out.. arms very firm up to the top. In another video Chuck stated that while his arm pits at setup face forward, that he keeps his arms and body loose throughout the swing to focus on the throwing motion. Can you reconcile the 2 thoughts.

Hello Steve. The arms need to have some tension to help facilitate proper rotation in the backswing. The hands/wrists stay soft so they are able to load and snap. Drill wise keeping them soft will help you get the feel. Like just feeling the exaggeration of release motion back and through in the beginning of the 160 8 Iron Video. But, they need to have some tension in the normal motion.
