Is there such thing as “too strong” of a grip?

Is there such thing as “too strong” of a grip? I’ve implemented the super strong grip with both Vs pointing at trail shoulder but now I’m hooking irons 7, 6, 5 and driver. Driver is coming out with a very low trajectory, so I think I’m shutting down the face too much at impact. I’ve experimented with either weakening trail hand grip (being more from the side instead of underneath) or not having as much side bend/shallowing and that’s straightened it out on the range. Are those short term fixes? Is there a different cause of the hooks?

Hello Manny. You can have too strong a grip. I'm thinking it's more a little hang back with your side bend causing the hooks.
