Craig, Just wanted to get your thoughts on the following.

Hi Craig, Just wanted to get your thoughts on the following. Had a game yesterday and my only thought during the round was to try keep the swing fluid and athletic like i've been working towards recently as per previous posts. My irons were okay but had massive issues with my driver just kept losing my posture and the arms just took over and kept hitting pull hooks and slices. In that situation should I put the driver away and just try the 3 wood off the tee? When I'm practicing and watching back my videos i have a tendency for the upper body to raise up when going into the backswing? Could that be the cause of this issue with the driver?

Hey Ray. If you can't diagnose and feel the fix on the fly. No reason to keep hitting poor shots with the driver until you can get it worked out. On the golf course you play for score, not swing  . You have the tendency to raise because of the arm push back. You need to maintain that shoulder plane, but the feeling for you of the trail scapula almost raising up (like GOAT Backswing) would actually be a good thing.
