I had a few bad rounds and i think it was because I was trying to "square" my iron/woods/driver clubface at address with the feel of squaring at impact. I started leaving the face about 2 degrees open at the address with the feel that the face was "squaring" to the ball at impact which resulted in straighter shots and eliminating the snap/hook i was suffering from. I also weakened my right hand with driver. Wondering if these will result in future problems since I have not seen this suggested in regular instruction.

Hey Manny, Your adjustments can work in the present. I do want you to be aware that when you start altering your grip and changing your setup positions, you are placing a band-aid on the bigger picture. We need to analyze why you are over rotating the face too early in the downswing causing said snap hook. Something tells me we are firing our right arm way too quickly in the transition thereby releasing the face too soon. As you work on your swing, and movement gets better, the weaker grip, along with setting the face open will start showing up as a fade/slice. And if you dont fix the sequence in the transition, you will be moving on a sliding scale searching for straigher shots. Send in your swing, and we will take a look! :flagpin:
