Chuck, I write for three reasons: (1) to thank you for what your video.

Dear Chuck, I write for three reasons: (1) to thank you for what your video series on The GOAT Code has done to elevate my golf game; (2) to critique aspects of your presentation, which I believe obscure your true genius; and (3) to suggest a possible collaboration. Elevating My Golf Game: You and I met for a lesson in Orlando way back in 2014 or thereabouts as I recall. I’m now age 73, and since then I’ve had a hip replacement, a knee replacement, and metal implant wrist surgery. I’ve been using your series on the Goat Code as the blueprint for my rehab. I’m at 159 yards on the 160 yard 8 iron challenge. I’ve been hitting 7 irons in the 175-178 yard range. I’m hitting driver up to 264 yards, and aiming for 270 before the summer is out. Onward! Critiquing Your Presentation: I believe you are a true genius in cracking the GOAT Code, something that’s never really been done before. But your warp speed genius mind often gets the best of you in your video presentations. You go off on distracting tangents in midstream (ex., “Hogan said that you start the takeaway like this…which is true… but what he actually later said was that you start the takeaway like that…” etc etc). Although your GOAT Code videos are arranged in certain progressions with topic headings, they are basically a series of stand alones. Yes, there are repeated references to GDP and the trail side throwing motion, but there is a lack of overall unity in sequencing and step-by-step comprehensiveness, and some of the content comes across as contradictory. I marvel at how your insights have evolved since we first met years ago, and I believe that the time has come for you to compose your basic Bible, your equivalent of Hogan’s Five Lessons in video and print formats. With a nod to Ben, I believe you should strive to be simple and concise, presenting your innovative insights in a fairly traditional, easy to follow step-by-step format. Something like, CRACKING THE G.O.A.T. Code: How to Play Golf With Effortless Power in Five Lessons, that introduces the GOAT Code concept, then covers set up, takeaway. transition, downswing, and release. No, you can’t say everything in 5 lessons, nor should you try. The aim would be to stick to a tightly edited script that offers core concepts on which to build. Possible Collaboration: I would like to discuss the possibility of working on such a project with you. You can Google my bio online, and most of it is true. Suffice to say here that which I’ve written three books and dozens of magazine articles about golf instruction, including The A.I.M. of Golf with Mitchell Spearman. I’ve taken lessons from the GOATS of golf instruction: Harvey Pennick, Butch Harmon, Dick Harmon, David Leadbetter, Jimmy Ballard, Jim Flick, Jim McLean, Dave Pelz, Randy Smith, etc. etc. I’ve competed at the junior, high school, college, amateur, and professional levels. I believe I can help you clarify and refine your presentation for a wide audience. If you would like to discuss, my contact info is below. Again, much thanks for your fine work. Thank you so much for the kind words and offer Harry. I'm in the midst of a pretty major overhaul that might render the need for all the things you suggested (which I agree with) moot. It's going to be a few more months before it is publicly available but once you see it, you will understand.
