Craig I’ve been having problems with my longer clubs (Driver and 3W and 5W).

Hi Craig I’ve been having problems with my longer clubs (Driver and 3W and 5W) using the GOAT grip. The ball may fly very low even off the tee and at times is not-playable. I started to look at clubface direction. I know that early pronation can cause ball to go left (and had this issue at the start). But looking at the clubface with a directional aid I can also see that pronation can reduce the effective loft at impact by quite a lot. I’ve also noticed that if I push my left hand down at setup (as you describe) then ball flight is generally good, presumably because this action controls early pronation of the trail hand. Have I got this right? Thanks Diane

Hello Diane. Yes. Early pronation will cause the face to rotate too soon and can lead to a de-lofted face. Typically the low/left will be indicative of early pronation and over working the arms/hands in the downswing.
