First follow up video.

First follow up video. The purpose of this video is to more clearly illustrate the Axiom using a tour pro as an example. My initial vision is that you would watch a video that walks you through what you learned in our one-on-one session. Then, watch a couple videos illustrating the concepts with professionals. I will post video 2 in another thread. I would like to know if this video was helpful or if there is something else that you would like to see. What parts of the video helped clarify things for you and which didn't, etc?

I do find this helpful to see Axiom evident in both Jessica’s and Jon’s swings. A couple of things stand out to me. First, this reveals just what is happening when you see the right toes of tour pros rise up ever so slightly in the backswing. I had noticed it previously (perhaps you pointed it out in a previous video?) but this really illustrates the “why” of what is a happening. Second, as you illustrate with Jessica and even more so with Jon, there really is a demonstrable shallowing of the hand path, and thus club, going on even though the 2D images we see make it appear very subtle. It is, in fact, not at all subtle which means if we go for subtle chances are we’ll still be over the top or at least not shallow enough. So, two things I found quite helpful in the videos. After my catastrophic crash today (Yes, I jumped in the race car and ended up doing the exact opposite move we’re to do with Axiom) and reviewing by way of these videos, I find myself uncertain when to jump off the merry-go-round. I think it’s when I get almost all the way around to the ball of the foot at 10 or so. In fact, is it a correct understanding that the squat to square of the Dead Drill happens starting at 6 and the post up happens when we jump off the merry-go-round about 10? Regardless, I now find myself uncertain when to jump off as it made sense during the lesson but now I’m uncertain.
Thx for your time today Chuck. While I know there are still problems with my full speed swing, it immediately looks better than before. Struggling still with overactive arms. I'll keep working on it. Golf trip with buddies this upcoming weekend. I'll continue to get video.

I found it very helpful and it provided the visual and details that helped cement the information you had shared during our lesson. For me that provides a great follow up to compare my movements to this video to see if I am tracking. The close up on the right foot as the weight moved around the perimeter was very helpful. For me, it would be great to see that with her full body view that is synced like you have done for others. That way I could see how the hands were shallowing as the foot rotated. Just a thought, but great video lesson. David
Hey Chuck, Is it possible to show a split screen video of her swing and the close up of the foot rotation? I think that would be a great compliment to the Rahm video?
The video was helpful focusing on her foot movement was perfect; you can see it move just the way that you mentioned during the lesson, Visual aids in the swing are huge for me; thanks for keeping it simple. Im still working on the hands moving Clockwise. Please keep it coming, Chuck!
Chuck this video was very helpful showing the linkage of the feet to knees and hips. Also helpful in reimagining the proper hand path and shoulder rotation in the back swing - completely different. Also your remarks on how to synchronize the hand/shoulder path to the merry go round was helpful. Craig helped me on Monday. I have been able to translate Axiom to the golf course about 50 percent. The big change is in my long clubs that are now moving more consistently in a draw pattern - extra yards and more accurate to the target. Thanks to both of you for your dedication to us and other aspiring amateurs.
Thanks Chuck this video definitely helps illustrates what Craig told me in my lesson yesterday. Was there a video on John Rahm too that I missed? This is very different in my feeling and I am using too big of the circle/clock reference on that backswing but I feel I need to get that feeling of the full merry go round. Range season started off rough but then got better towards the end. Will keep working and trying to get the merry go around tightened up.
I always wondered how the maxim of the swing being a top down and bottom up series of movements really worked. The video showed exactly how it worked. The weight shifted to the right foot and hopped on the merry go round with an upper body shoulder turn; and then worked in the other direction with the right toe moving the hips and lower body towards the target.
Hey Chuck, Just wondering if you posted the second video and in which thread? The foot movement through 6 to 9 move is very helpful. Would love to see other examples. Thanks, Fran
I think this video was great. To me better than the John Rahm video. At least keep them both. The way you illustrated the vortex was very interesting.
Chuck, Love the video along with your detailed explanation. These videos provide further clarification of what we are trying to achieve with AXIOM so the more the better! Can you please provide further explanation, clarification or visualization of what is exactly happening on the downswing when you mention that Jessica's hands are still moving clockwise and the hands appear to be moving downward and how to achieve that move in lieu of throwing the shoulder toward the ball. Should we be actively or passively rotating the arms and hands clockwise or is this a result of not actively throwing the shoulder counterclockwise? My goal is to feel/understand what is happening or perhaps you could do a slow motion video face on view of exactly what is the correct sequence looks like. While AXIOM has provided me the dynamic speed to my swing I have been desperately looking for.....it appears that I may have totally fallen victim to throwing my right shoulder at the ball (or its a previous bad habit) and it does still feel somewhat powerful but I know it is not what I am looking to achieve overall. I want to understand how to continue clockwise and add speed the correct way without the incorrect throw the shoulder move. My footwork and back swing feel correct in a clockwise motion and I see myself exiting the merry go round but MAYBE my footwork is stalling out and that is why I am throwing my right shoulder through and at the ball. Looking for guidance. Thank you in advance.
