Should the trail elbow connect to the rib cage for a brief moment just before.

Should the trail elbow connect to the rib cage for a brief moment just before GDP to just before impact in the downswing. At setup and the rest of the swing the tricep is lightly connected to my chest but as I rotate into delivery I feel the majority of my tricep/upper arm against the front of my ribs. Is this bringing the arms too close to the body and making the swing too steep and narrow? Should I feel ONLY the light connection at setup through the entire swing? Thank you for all you guys do!

Thank Kade. Happy New Year. You don't want to jam the arm into your side. It will graze the front of the rib cage. I have seen instances where players are trying to shallow and create so much lag they ram the arm into the side excessively which does cause a few different faults.
