“Understanding” GOATY’s instructions
This is a vent more than anything. After just working with GOATY through the app, I feel no farther along in my (seemingly futile) journey to improve, but much more frustrated. That’s because I find GOATY’s written instructions utterly inaccessible. Meaning, I understand every individual word, but haven’t the slightest idea of the overall meaning and therefore what to do.
Am I the only one?
Examples that come to mind are trying to fling a towel out of my trail side rear pocket with my (trail, I think) hand…which is on the club, of course.
Another is to throw the club behind me at the top of the backswing.
I just don’t know what I’m supposed to do with those instructions. Do they make sense to you?
I know it’s a program and probably in its infancy. But it honestly feels like I’m in a mental torture chamber when I compound the frustration of having a poor swing with swing instruction that is utterly unintelligible.
Is it just me? I have a hard time believing it is.
