Right Handed Guy Playing Golf Left Handed - Is Trailside Program with Weak Hand Worth It?

Hi everyone, I'm a new member. I'm a right handed dude who plays golf left handed (lead hand is dominant in the swing). I grew up playing football, so the throwing motion is generally very natural for me, however the GOAT code/trailside program relies heavily on my weak hand as the engine of my swing. For my whole golfing life, I've always found that my lead, dominant hand wants to control the swing and my lead side and lead arm trying to pull the club through? Has anyone else in my situation (dominant hand is lead hand) had success training their weak hand for the GOAT Code program or would going straight to the lead side program just make more sense? I'd imagine the biggest challenge would be that you'd just need to put in a lot more reps to get your weak hand coordinated and working properly to make the GOAT Code program work well?

Good question. The GOAT Code is built on trail-side engine mechanics regardless of handedness, so the program itself doesn't change. Your challenge is real though: if your lead hand (right) has dominated your swing for years, retraining your trail hand (left) to be the engine will take intentional reps and patience. That said, your football background is a huge asset. The throwing motion you already own translates directly to trail-side sequencing. The live coaching and rep feedback will help you build that coordination faster than guessing. Don't skip to lead-side yet. Put in the reps first.
