The first swing is early January, according to Chuck I was on the right track I.

The first swing is early January, according to Chuck I was on the right track I had to improve my transition which was to arrive sooner and less squat. I then worked to improve everything and I believed that for the transition I had to turn my hips back faster so that everything would arrive sooner. So in the second swing, last weekend when I tried to hit balls after several weeks of drills, it was as if everything I practiced was no longer in my mind, I was all crooked. As I analyze it, I think that wanting to turn my hips at the transition gave me problems. Thinking about turning my hips from the top of my swing made my shoulders turn and so my arms followed, so I was trying to fight it all by forcing my arms down instead of turning. Bad idea! The third swing is last night after training where I practiced pushing my left butt back instead of turning them, so I clear my hips sooner and my arms fall easily by themselve to the right place in the transition without think to move my arms down… is this a better way to think about transition and downswing? Thankx!

No complaints from me Joel. That is what the hip needs to do. Move up and back. Thinking about pushing it away from the ball makes perfect sense.
