Are the latest videos and instruction from Goaty always the way it should be done? There has been many changes the last 6 months. That's a bit frustrating. I have got used to throw from the top - away from the target -that's out now. I'm going to miss it. If the throw now is later - won't that be more at the ball - just what we shouldn't do not long ago?

I hear the frustration with instruction changes. The shift from "throw away from the target at the top" to a later throw timing isn't a contradiction—it's a refinement based on what actually works. The earlier cue helped golfers stop casting and feel lag. The later throw (into transition and downswing) is more accurate: you're not throwing the club away; you're sequencing the lower body first, then letting the hands and club release through impact. That's the opposite of throwing at the ball early. Both cues point to the same outcome—lag and proper sequencing—just described differently. The newer language is more precise about when the release actually happens. If you're seeing conflicting instruction in GOATY, post a specific example in the GOATY Community at https://rotaryswing.com/goaty/goaty_circles.php and we can clarify which context applies. Instruction does evolve, but the core mechanics don't flip.
