Axiom +4 days and now continuing the left vs right question...I spent some time.

Axiom +4 days and now continuing the left vs right question...I spent some time with the white devil trying each side. In the attached video you can see I started with lead arm only and had some improvement but still had a bit of stall of the clockwise foot compared to the same drill without a ball. The next swing in the video is me adding the trail arm but doing so with as little right hand pressure as possible. As with the lead arm only, better but still some stall. The final swing in the video is trail arm only. I still had a little stall (dang white devil!) but it appears this trail arm approach is closer to better butt cheek visibility - can we call it that? So, given these results I think I leaning toward right rather than left. But, it might be helpful to actually drill both left and right. I did have a final swing with adding the lead arm back in to a right arm swing and it stayed very consistent to the right arm only. I accidentally deleted it so,it didn’t make that final cut and then I forgot to grab another video of it. One difficulty I had was figuring out how to add my lead arm to a right arm dominant swing. Ultimately, it’s a very weird feel to have your right hand on there firmly but your lead hand barely on the club. I even tried an interlock grip, which worked, but I still had to fight too much grip pressure so I settled on a flat lead hand against the preferred way to add it back. Doing this my perception is that I was able to avoid undue pressure while still leading the swing with the right...foot, that is, while allowing the arm to merely follow along. I don’t have the video right now to prove it but my on-site self-analysis let me with the feeling it was very, very close to the right arm only swing in this video. Specifically, it was better than before but still had a bit of foot stall. I’m going to have continue re-training my brain to keep that foot motion going but I feel like I’m getting closer. What else did I learn today? One thing that seemed to help me was spending a little bit of time intensely focusing on initiating my right arm only swings with...my right foot. Yes, I know this is what we are supposed to do but I found I often started with the right arm which ultimately led to major stallage (is that a word?) of the clockwise foot. Yet, when I made certain to start with the foot I was able to avoid stalling. I think we all see and read Chuck tell many is of us we’re still too arms-driven and I wonder if this might be the cause. Well, I’m certain it is at least one reason but I thought others might find helpful one Axiom flaw I found myself making. Along this same line on right arm only swings, I want to reiterate a point Chuck made in the Left vs Right video. Specifically, when you get to the point of trying to reduce the exaggeration I keyed in on Chuck’s video point of keeping the right arm extended as long as possible in the backswing. When I felt I extended it farther/longer in the backswing, in essence keeping the right angle formed by my chest and right arm, as long as possible...while allowing this movement to occur as a result of my clockwise foot...I felt I was able to avoid foot stall and achieve results that at least seemed in the correct direction. So, just a few very short video swings for your perusal and some descriptions of the feelings I had or was trying to make. Of course, if anyone has any other ideas about gripping softly with the lead arm while trying be right side I’m all ears. Jim

I like the word "stallage" lol! I think that will stick. Here's the only thing I'd like for you to focus on - pointing your right knee down the target line during the downswing - in your case, as early as possible. That will avoid "stallage" lol
