Quick question for the group, are you sore in areas that you have not.

Quick question for the group, are you sore in areas that you have not previously been with the golf swing before Axiom. For me my core muscles are really sore. I am hoping this is a sign of engaging them correctly not the opposite :)

I obviously can’t speak on behalf of the other guinea pigs but this is a big sign that there is way too much tension. There should be no soreness anywhere for sure. The body must be more relaxed to move fluidly quickly and athletically. As a former college basketball player you want to be feeling more like how you would shooting a basketball. Tension is a swing killer
I would add that if, like me, you’re lower body has been asleep for years and you’ve started to “awaken” it for the first time, you may get some mild soreness in the areas between the knees and chest (like the hips or obliques) as you start engaging them. Kind of like when you start lifting weights for the first time or after an extended absence, it’s a “good sore” as you start working muscles that haven’t actively been used in awhile. I got this in boxing when I first started engaging the core to throw punches instead of using all upper body. Anyhow, long answer, but I think if it’s not due to excessive tension and just waking up an unused source of power it will go away fairly quickly.
Totally!!! I was going to actually mention the same thing. My core is sore which is expected but so are my left inner thigh muscles. Never had that before ???? I saw Chuck’s comment above. Dude, I’m sore getting out of bed in the morning half the time I do any new activity... went paintballing on my 51st birthday this year and could barely move for 5 days! :) But in all seriousness, I can’t imagine that engaging these muscles more and in new ways wouldn’t result in some kind of soreness.
Is it that you guys are using your core for the first time in your swing now? Do you feel it differently than before?
Only place it hurts is my ego as I currently have a really hard time to replicate what I was able to do within 5 minutes with Chuck. Physical side is fine.
I wouldn't say it's sore, but I could feel my left glute the day after my first lot of practice swings. Probably because I'd posted up properly for the first time! The Axiom also makes it easier to activate both glutes as we've been taught in the Dead Drill, because we are actually getting the weight across to the lead side fast enough at last.
