Over the weekend I tried to just work on footwork outside of swinging a club. I also have been doing this without the arm, just the footwork. When I do the footwork drills I am really starting to feel the movement in the merry go round and I am starting to feel the lead foot counter-clockwise motion in the lead foot to a very nice post up. When I try to take this to hitting a ball I just can't make it work unless I do some really crazy arm movements on my takeaway. What I have been doing is just doing the one-arm drill, which I have attached. I am not sure if this is ok and is the right tactic to take or if I should be doing something else or if others have had any luck with different methods.
