I, along with many other rotary swing members, am going crazy waiting for the.

I, along with many other rotary swing members, am going crazy waiting for the explanation of the new AXIOM approach to the golf swing. I actually had a dream last nite where Chuck Quinton asked me what the letters in the word AXIOM stood for. I thought about this for a while, and came up with the following: A is for Axis tilt... moving the pelvis a little to the left to cause a slight axis tilt to the right.... a little less axis tilt with an iron... a little more axis tilt with a driver... X is for X Factor....popularized by Jim Mclean... and might refer to keeping some right knee bend in the backswing as your weight moves over the right hip and the right hip moves back and the right glutes wake up.... creating some resistance between the lower body and the upper torso which has rotated to give a full shoulder turn... I is for Increasing Lag from Inside.... the idea is to actually try to increase lag from the top of the swing from P4 to about P5.5 where the left arm is at a 45 degree angle to the ground and the shaft is still at about a 90 degree angle with the left arm, all the while keeping a flat left wrist.... and the idea of a feeling of a slight Inside out swing with the shoulders feeling a little closed as you approach impact.... O is for Open up the hips, which is the posting up of the left leg... straightening of the left knee... pushing on the ground with the left leg, moving the left hip backwards... opening up of the hips and creating both a rotational and a vertical force... M is for Maintain angle of inclination to the ground.... which means keeping that slight tilt of the upper body toward the ball side as you go to impact and just beyond impact.... this position helps to allow a passive roll release of the hands where the right forearm Moves over the left forearm and the club moves up and to the left at maybe a 45 degree angle to the ground... Well, Chuck, did I correctly guess all of the letters in AXIOM ? steven vig

Hello Steven. A+ for the effort. Unfortunately, not quite the hammer to the nail. However, you have provided me with some thoughts. Hmm... You may have awoken the hamster on the wheel.
Love the effort! But axiom is quite literal in this case. The websters definition - a self evident truth and accepted principle. When you see it you will see just how simple it really is and even almost obvious
