Chuck I've been testing out the Axiom for a day now so sharing my results with you.

Hi Chuck I've been testing out the Axiom for a day now so sharing my results with you. Quick background... I decided to rebuild my swing last year using RST as I had plateaued with my golf. I have been able to play a few rounds close to scratch but struggled with power & lag making the longest par 3 & 4s hard to hit in regulation. I've been working away with the DEAD drills which certainly started to add lag into the swing but despite doing clamshell drill still struggle to prevent casting driven by my right hip pushing forward in transition. I was certainly finding it hard to thing about making sure I didn't push from left side on my backswing AND also think about making the right transition move - it just felt like 2 separate actions that i found hard to connect together effectively. From first tests using the AXIOM drill I've discovered 1) I haven't been getting on to my right heel enough, the feeling in my right foot was move side to side and not clockwise. Without even using a club AXIOM was quick to show me what the feeling & level of pressure should be. 2) Having done some reps of the drill i started hitting some balls but didnt have much immediate impact BUT.... 3) With experimentation i found that if i really exaggerated the feeling in my transition of getting my foot pressure much deeper in about the 7 or 8 o'clock position i was then able to quickly get the feeling of keeping my right side out of the way. This left me feeling my body was much more inside the swing (further from the ball) - freeing my arms up to snap through the release and my power went off the scale! 4) The total AXIOM motion is getting rid of this feeling of 2 stages (back & forth) in the swing and so i can focus on one continuous movement which to me is a massive plus. I'm starting to get the sense that there isn't actually a transition stage to worry about and i can just flow from backswing into the squat to square For future videos I certainly think it will help others if they spend some time trying to feel which parts of the foot pressure they are not currently using fully so that they can focus on hitting that spot. I found that in the beginning even though i thought was rotating around fully in my practice reps it didnt translate through when the ball became a distraction. hope that helps and thanks for the AXIOM concept... really think it might finally help me get my body to do what brain has been telling it!

Richard, I concur! Well stated. Feeling pressure in my right heel I hadn’t before that in turn helps hold the tush line and prevents me from pushing off the right toe too early.
Hi Richard, Great and informative post. The feeling that you are discussing in #3, is creating the same sensation that a subtle squat over to the lead side would create making it much easier for you to keep the hips back in transition and allowing for more space for the arms to move back in front. The point you make is perfect and really great for others to read, as it's a move the people have butchered for years, made MUCH MUCH easier now. Keep us posted on the progress and thanks for the info. Ct
Hi Richard You are a much better golfer than I'll ever be, but I had the same issue in terms of thinking of the swing as a side to side movement rather than a clockwise rotation. I guess most people think that way. Diane
