As a guy who was right shoulder dominant for about 10yrs (and just about left.

As a guy who was right shoulder dominant for about 10yrs (and just about left it behind me) AXIOM was a bit scary to consider. Played in the net and for the first time in months I got the timing of the impact under my torso (and beautiful contact) rather than pulled through / "tin"nie lead edge strike. Only confusing thing is Chuck's orginal dead drill counter clockwise feet move is either opposite of the now position or just half right. Also Butch Harmon's position that the biggest mistake that amateurs make is hitting off the right foot.... any chance for a bit more clarity to Butch or Dead drill that some of us don't get yet? Many thanks.

Hello Gordon. You aren't hitting off the right foot because when you go clockwise around the heel the lead hip will shift to the lead side. The push off the foot helps clear the hip. Don't think about the weight as staying solely on the trail foot then using the toe push to shift all the weight and clear the hip. The counter torque move in the Sam Snead Drill still works if you are solely using the lead side to make all the magic happen.
