Have a strange and perhaps difficult to answer question.

Have a strange and perhaps difficult to answer question. Came to think of a potential flaw that i have in my golfswing and came to think of it when i was out running. Felt really stiff and tired today and noticed that I was tensing my knees a lot to a point where they were starting to hurt as i was running. The thought that crossed my mind was to just try and have the knees feel exactly the same as when i walk, relaxed but reactive and the feeling was amazing, i could feel how this enabled my hip to actually help with dampening the step. Realized i have the same sensation as I go into transition, i tense my knees to the max as i post up. Was wondering if this could be the reason to why i hyper extend and if it would be safe for the knee cap to try and feel like I lower the tension levels around the knee to have it feel more relaxed and reactive similarly to when I walk. (Wanted to ask the question since it hit me that the tensing of the knee also might be a defensive move of the body to stop twisting)

You want muscles to fire and react. If you are overly tense you aren't soft enough to fire and move swiftly with the legs. I think you are on to something with your swing monitoring the tension/post.
