I am having real success with this. I have been working on RS for two years and getting nowhere. This is a game changer for me. Shot a 40 on the back nine today for a total of 83. . Normally I struggle to break 100.
I got frustrated with my first cycle through the axiom. It was ok on the range, but couldnt hit a single ball on the course.
What I realized today is that I was letting my mind into it. Thinking about the rotation of the foot.
I realized today that the mind is way too slow for the golf swing. It occurs almost at the speed of light and for that you cant have a single thought.
Even the idea of moving the weight to the heel of the right foot to start is too much for me. I can have absolutely no thought process at all.
It is a sudden move, which I practice in slow motion using the axiom and dead drill.
My goal in all of this has always been to simply be able to play a reasonable round, and have fun. It is starting to look like this may be possible for me.
I am 76. When in the groove I am outdriving most guys 20 years younger than me.
I have played the game off and on for 25 years. this is the first time that I think I may be on the verge of getting it.
Having said all that. I know from experience that it could all fall apart too. I am hopeful that wont happen this time.
