Chris, Thanks for the most recent swing review.

Hey Chris, Thanks for the most recent swing review. I have been to the range a couple of times and I’m still really struggling to square up that face....but like you said, it’s going to be hard to change. I watched the “left vs. Right” video like you recommended and I understand the double-pendulum concept. I had a question regarding left side vs. Right side. Obviously with the work we’ve done so far I’m working on a left-side release swing. Should I be experimenting with a right-side release? I’m just wondering if it’s something I should test or just keep focused on what you talked about. The only reason I ask is because I’m really struggling with the left side release and I’m wondering if it’s just because these things are hard, or if it’s because I’m trying to force myself to do something more unnatural to me. Anyway...if you think this is just a distraction and to just continue on...let me know. As always, thanks!

Just one thing to note.....I’m not sure if it’s of any value. But I’ve been playing hockey since I was 8. When you shoot it’s VERY right-hand dominant. The left hand is very lose on the stick and just kind of holds it there. So when I heard Chuck talking about throwing a ball and how that can set in right-hand dominance, I’ve probably got a bit more right-hand dominance than the average person because of playing hockey almost my entire life.
That's entirely up to you Brandon. You can play around with the right side release stuff if you feel like you will hit the ball better on the sooner side. See if you can create more solid impact and control the face better from that side. If you can, of course I would support it. I prefer using the lead side myself but that doesn't mean that I will only teach lead side stuff. Any golf instructor that isn't willing to allow for adjustments for the student to hit the ball better, shouldn't really be a golf instructor to begin with. So, go out and play around with it and send it in for review when you're ready and I will take a close look to see how things are going. Ct
