Hi. Lately I've been extremely busy with work, life, blah, blah....Since my time is limited, I'm having to decide during the day to either practice golf for about 30mins or exercise. You can guess which one I've been picking! ;) So my doc is trying to get me to exercise more. I don't have time to get to the course or the walking from that would probably be enough. My question is, does anyone here try to combine exercise with swing practice? Not doing separate exercise, but actually working on their swing with the intention of increasing their heart rate? I have a couple of ideas on how to do this but curious what others, including instructors, think or can recommend. - I'm thinking about getting a fitbit to measure my heart rate - Do the core movements of the dead drill, but doing it with speed and not stopping - Doing lead arm only swings with my orange whip, without stopping for a certain amount of reps - Considering purchasing the Super Speed sticks and just working that as they recommend but obviously doing an RST swing I'm not sure I can get a full on intense work out doing this, but I'm hoping it would be enough to get the heart rate elevated long enough for moderate exercise. Any other suggestions?

Hello Scott. Swinging with intention using a heavy club, whip, or core exercise drills is fine. The only issue I see is if you go too fast and repetitive back and forth. Your mechanics may break down. Fine to get heart rate up, awaken muscles, and get that central nervous system going. But, try to have a purpose of still executing clean mechanics with speed.
