Been feeling some tendencies when experimenting with more trail leg propulsion.

Been feeling some tendencies when experimenting with more trail leg propulsion and am wondering if they are bad or a natural change due to using the right leg more in the swing. So what I am noticing is the more I use "pushing of the right toe" for speed in the swing, the more I feel like I from the top am bracing against the outside of my left leg and pushing into it with my right (what feels like a tension in the abductors to stop the lateral shift and kicking in to rotation) rather than feeling like I p Pull myself over with my left leg like I do when the right is more passive. Is this a natural change due to my right side providing more help with the lateral motion? Am noticing higher force vectors when getting into this "bracing" against the left leg and also higher negative horizontal force which If i understand right is the measure of how well i release it? (breaking force off the lower body segments) Another thing i am wondering is if this feeling of bracing against the left side is something I also need to implement when being more lead side dominant, so basically that I adduct to get the lateral motion going but then i start bracing (what feels like the opposite motion of adducting) to stop my lateral motion and getting into rotation and extension. Atm the way I swing is that I am trying to feel a lot of adduction and as the body gets moving i try to crunch the adductors to stop the body from moving more left. But i wonder if it would be more efficient to tap into more abductor muscles once i feel i've shifted enough to get the body to move back and away. Might even be what my body would want to do naturally but wouldn't know since i'm probably overwriting it by thinking yo consciousky of just adducting.

I think it is a natural change that you are feeling. You are aiding/propelling with the trail foot to clear the lead hip better. Makes sense you feel more speed. The bracing feeling I've never really experienced since I don't add a lot of push and my trail leg is pretty passive. But, I don't want you to have to over work to keep the lead hip from going beyond neutral. You could be over doing the push-propulsion, or not letting the lead hip work behind enough. Take a look at most recent Live Lesson. Think it will help.
