Chuck, I start “early extension” in the backswing and even more so during downswing.

Chuck, I start “early extension” in the backswing and even more so during downswing. Say in a DTL video, we draw a line where the front of the head is, and another line where the butt is. As I do my backswing, the head starts moving away from line ( away from ball line) while the butts move inwards. Is that generally a problem of right hip not getting deep enough + a flat shoulder turn?

Hello Purple. Yes. Early Extension combined with flat shoulder turn will cause the issue you are describing. Take a look at the Clamshell Drill and How to Fix Flat Shoulder Turn.
