In the backswing, before pulling the trail shoulder behind one's head.

Hello In the backswing, before pulling the trail shoulder behind one's head, would it be easier and more importantly, should I tilt my right shoulder up? Thanks

Hello Venkatesh. The shoulders will rotate on a plane around the spine. You typically don't have too lift the shoulder up if rotating correctly. Take a look at Backswing Shoulder Plane Drill.
Adding more to Craig’s response…Tilting the shoulder up independently from body rotation will move the scapula up and away from the big muscles. The scapula staying in a depressed and neutral position is critical for you to transfer energy from your trunk and core in the swing. Focus on getting into good setup, shoulders in a neutral position and then turning your guts without the right shoulder shrugging towards your ear and all should be good.
