I am going through and watching these videos.

I am going through and watching these videos. There is a quite a bit of repeat information. I get that each video may have something said or shown a little bit differently, and that may spark someone understanding something I also get there may be a little something extra in an older video, and not wanting someone to miss out on that. Redoing everything would be tasking. So, all the videos are included. It would be much better though if things were combined and condensed into what Chuck only feels needs to be heard. This as to not spend so much time watching/listening to the same information. (I had also seen a comment left talking about this in 2019. A response was left that the site was going to be redone.) It also seems that over time, some of his opinions have changed. There is some contradiction in the videos. In older videos he speaks about how you shouldnt swing back with the left arm. That the right arm should be doing most of the work in the back swing. He adamantly states that the swing plane should not be created by the left arm swinging the club back. Then later in another video about "The Big Picture of the Golf Swing", he says the problem with the golf swing is that we swing the club back with the right arm. That it should be done with the left arm. I get that over the years someone finds a better way to do things. However, when you spend however much time practicing Five minutes to the perfect setup, takeaway, and backswing... Then come across a video saying to swing back with the left arm. Its like what did I just spend my time doing? There is a lot of good information here. However, a big part of paying for basically a "how to" is having defined information in how to do everything. He speaks of how a lot of the information we have gotten is a waste of time, and we are getting a guide to doing things the right way. I am listening to all the videos; spending the time remembering the information like it is exactly what I need to do. Then the information changes. It makes you feel like you are just doing the same thing you have done for years. Also, feedback on the axiom movement. When I originally heard it, I thought it was great. I still think it is a good idea/mental cue to get someone not to have a stop and go feeling in the back swing. Yet, it wasnt the end all, be all; I was wanting it to be. The first time using it, I found it made me sway. The idea of moving my weight around my foot. I immediately stopped moving around my foot. The mental cue is a good one, but I feel it needs to just be a very small pressure in the ground if used. I do remember him saying at some point that it is a small movement. He did say though to feel the movement in the outside of your right foot, and then moving around the heel to the inside. This is something after watching older videos, again is something that is a contradiction. He states multiple times that you should never let your weight get on the outside of your trail foot. If you've watched all the old videos prior to the axiom then maybe when he was saying to feel the weight go around the outside of your trail foot, you would think/assume he was just talking about initially when learning the movement. Then you would ask. However, I dont think a lot of people are going to get to the other videos for quite awhile. I also think that you should have access to the short game information. side note... I am so tired of hearing "over the top". Ha. This is probably also, cause I have struggled with this for the most part. And, thats all you hear!

Hello Justin. We agree that some of the older videos may have some repeat information, but presented in a different way. As instructors the task is getting through to the student where they can understand what we are trying to get them to achieve. I have taught the same motion to a student multiple times, but the 10th way I phrased it differently clicked and allowed said person to make huge progress. Through time technology has increased which has allowed us to refine and adapt the motion through the years. The goal has remained the same. Safe, efficient and repeatable. There are two way you can do this. Lead Side Dominant and Trail Side Dominant. It took tons of research to find and effective yet safe way to do this with Trail Side which is why you see so much Lead Side preference early on in Rotary Teachings. The pressure movement is very small with Axiom. You may start out a little bigger to ascertain a feel, but the pressure shift is very small. We still don't want you rolling to the outside of the foot, etc. That would go against priority number one which is safety. I've actually had more success from players that performed the DEAD drill and then moved to Axiom because they already understood a lot of the refinement characteristics. Over the top and casting is what plagues most players. I am sorry to hear you have struggled with it. I can tell you though with DEAD/Axiom/Lead/Trail there is no reason you should struggle if performed correctly. In most cases players that come for lessons, unlimited reviews, roadshows curing their over the top is usually the simplest of tasks. If you are still struggling with it I would be happy to help show you the way to stop it for good. Post your swing here or do a review. Let's setup up a plan of attack to rid yourself of it forever.
