Working on the Dead drill today I think I found my main swing fault?

Working on the Dead drill today I think I found my main swing fault? My swing speed on my radar has been all over the board, 69-88 MPH withs7 iron. I've been fighting this for over a year. Most misses are pulls. always miss left of target (right handed swing) I believe I've been lining up with my club head face closed when I thought it was square? This was causing me to take a more outside swing path? When I finally figured this out it looked like I'm lining my face open? This is causing me to take the club head back slightly on the inside? I can now feel my swing. The dead drill is working? I'm getting swing speeds between 83 to 88 MPH consistently. Going to the range. Anyone ever have this problem? Thanks, Walt

Hello Walt. I have seen the issue before. You preset in more a trail side dominant position and then deleted face rotation. Very quick way to delete some free speed from the club.
