Craig. I review the swing analysis and have spent a lot of time working on.

Hi Craig. I review the swing analysis and have spent a lot of time working on hip ratation in the house. I also have spent an hour yesterday and an hour today at the practice facility I attend working on moving the hips correctly with the 9-3 swings you mentioned with an8 iron. What I consistently see is that he 9-3 motion with hip rotation produces about 70 percent of my normal ball speed with less than 200 rpm of sidespin either way and a straight shot. I am supposed to play golf this weekend, so at the end of my session today, I tried a few full speed swings. I was seeing a really big pull hook. I attached a photo of the characteristics. I suspect that now that I am creating more space, I am still releasing the club in the same way that I have been in my jammed up swing. I have went from slight fades and pushes to a big pull hook. I find that I learn a movement best when I only focus on one movement at a time until it becomes somewhat natural for me, so I have not started anything on release per your suggestion. I am terrified to play this weekend. I feel like I will revert back or make other compensations to correct it and hinder my improvement. Do you usually recommend that people stop playing while working on swing changes? Or, what on course keys can I use to not hook the ball off of the planet? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I usually recommend during big changes that playing is limited just because being caught in-between two movement patterns is tough. The main reason for you hook is your hands don't have to be as active is they need to be anymore. I would take a look at the Two Way Miss Video just too calm down the hands. It is a 9 to 3 motion but I think you could easily make that into a 3/4 swing to play with. You just don't need the same compensation anymore to get the clubface back to square. Also, one round of golf will usually take 2 days of practice to get back in the saddle with corrections. If you have to play. Just play. Plenty of days to get the other correction implemented.
