Craig. Regarding Day 5 Left vs Right Release.

Hi Craig. Regarding Day 5 Left vs Right Release. Great presentation ,very glad I signed up. A couple of Questions-For left side you said to stop rotating ( slam on brakes) and let club release . Is it both the shoulders AND the hips ? For right side do the shoulders and hips keep rotating? It seems to me that in the right side swing the throwing motion is an integral part of a continuous flowing motion of the arms shoulders and hips ? Cheers Ian

Hi Ian, Chris here! For left side release, the hips will stall and you want to try and restrict the shoulder rotation as much as you can so that the arms are fully independent. The shoulders will still continue to move because the right hand is on the club, however, the shoulder plane would steepen post impact. Check out the fix your release - Trail shoulder back video. Any your description of trail side release is a good interpretation for sure. The shoulders will turn open a bit more while the arm is extending down the line. You will still want to ensure hip stability though when doing this. Hope that helps and see you on Tuesday. Ct
