Craig I'm working on what we covered in the recent Axiom Bootcamp.

Hi Craig I'm working on what we covered in the recent Axiom Bootcamp. Lots to do especially starting downswing earlier, but at the moment am focusing on whole movement to get the hips going back, arms shallowing and club coming down at the right point instead of quite a way behind the ball. I think these videos look better, especially my right arm - this is feeling much more natural after Bootcamp 1 but I find I only get a good shoulder rotation when I look right (where head goes shoulders go), not so good if I keep my eye on the ball. I'm now starting to try to sit deeper into the transition too and it makes a noticeable difference (more angular momentum I guess), but I need to do the compression drills to build this up slowly. I have all winter as we only play 12 hole comps through the until March (and they don't count towards Handicap Index). So no excuse not to just go for it. Anyway thought it best to post these to check I'm on the right track. Thanks ahead! Diane

Hello Diane. The first video there is a lot to like. Make sure you have a little tilt at setup and we need just a little bit more weight getting back to the lead side in transition. The trail foot stays just a little too flat during the whole move. 2nd Swing (full) - Lead hand grip a little weak. You allows the trail leg to straighten a touch too early which affects the orbit and how the trail glute loads. Try to make the grip a little stronger and focus on the trail foot orbit. Maintain a little more flexion so you can use the leg drive a little earlier to shift weight/clear hips. 3rd Swing - I don't think you need to exaggerate the backswing so much. Try to blend arm and shoulder movement a little more to make it look more conventional. Same with orbit and more weight in transition. I agree with you the head seems to be active on all moves. However, I do believe all three swing are pretty close to exactly how we want to drill which is exciting.
