I was looking at Jim Furyk’s swing again after reviewing all this.

I was looking at Jim Furyk’s swing again after reviewing all this. To me it looks like a figure eight from down the line: 1) aggressive inwards takeaway that looks like a typical beginner error 2) massive vertical lift to the outside 3) club then falls properly to the inside Is this left dominant but with a very unusual pattern? The right dominant players seem much more recent.

Hello Ian. Both Lead and Trail Side dominant players follow the same pattern. You will see an exaggeration when watching the drills. However, the clockwise motion is much smaller when put into play. If you click the link below you can see how Tiger's hand follow the same path just way less to a degree vs Furyk.
