In my neighborhood most of the driving ranges have only practice mats.

In my neighborhood most of the driving ranges have only practice mats. Will that hurt my ball striking on the golf course if practice a lot on the mat? And what should I be aware of when practicing on the mat?

Hello Kyaw. Prating on the mat sometimes can give you a false sense of strike when it comes to heavy shots. But, if you are making sure to strike the ball first with a shallow AoA you should be ok. Lots of heavy practice on the mats when concrete is below sometimes will lead to wrists issues if bottoming out hard/heavy.
