I have been referring back to the videos on the take away and backswing.

hello, I have been referring back to the videos on the take away and backswing. I have a question about the trail wrist at the top of the back swing. My understanding is that the wrist should hinge naturally at the top of the back swing. There should be no TENSION felt in the wrist joint. How much hinge should I be getting at the top of the back swing ( I am measuring about 70 Degrees with my wrist) Question If I pull back on my hand it does not increase the wrist hinge but gives the feel of extra tension in the trail wrist joint which in turn seems to generate more club speed. Is this ok to do as it does seem to give me more distance but also causes my swing to become inconsistent. Thanks

Hello Peter. I don't have an exact measurement for you. However, if you post a picture of the top of your backswing I am happy to take a look. The trail wrist will increase flexion/hinge on the downswing as lag is generated you want to make sure not to max it out at the top because the club face will closed and it will be hard for increase in lag angle.
