So, I'm rewatching a few fundamental videos to re-calibrate.

So, I'm rewatching a few fundamental videos to re-calibrate. Just looking at the initial DEAD drills, all through the post up, there is NO point in the swing where the upper body/chest/shoulders "take over" and start rotating to contribute power? They do seem very passive—which I guess is a good thing. If I'm being honest with myself I think I've been working with the DEAD drills and my upper body more like a sequence, where eventually they start to rotate the arms package through the release. So, can someone from RST clarify: should I not apply power/effort in rotating my shoulders at all? At no point in the swing?

Hello Andree. With the Dead Drill and a Lead Side release the shoulders will be passive in the downswing. The hips will bring the shoulders into the impact position. You don't require any active spinning/pushing.
