Hi Craig, I wonder if you could point me to a video that deals with the movement of the arms in transition and early in the downswing so that I can verify my thoughts regarding the downswing? I have recently discovered in my short game that if I am passive with the arms and just let gravity do it's work, as long as I rotate towards the target I have significant success with using the bounce on the wedge and using the speed of rotation to control distance. (I know there must be some forearm rotation at some point in the downswing but I'm not consciously aware of this.). With a slightly weakened grip I am able to send the ball in the direction I'm aiming. And I am no longer thinning wedges like was my bugaboo. My other question is, assuming this is correct mechanics, is it the same feeling with the irons and driver? I think just letting the arms fall in transition vertically (i.e. having the feeling they are), forces me to rotate my body in order to square up the clubface. Does it sound like I'm on the right track?

Hello Jim. Gravity is your friend! I would watch these two videos: Left Arm in the Golf Downswing (LADD) and Why You DON'T Pull the Butt of the Club Toward the Ball. Both will describe exactly the way you are feeling.
