Anthony & Craig, there is a video "Pro Secret #2" done by Chuck (thanks, Craig for finding it for me). It shows a golfer who rises up on downswing which then jams him up at impact. That is what I do - I can't keep right shoulder angled down very long in the downswing. It shows in my video swing reviews done by Anthony: my videos show at the beginning of my downswing that my right shoulder is angled down but it quickly rises back up (maybe when I begin to shift weight) and thus my torso rises up and I get jammed at impact. I have worked hard at range to try to stay down longer starting with short swings and even then I still rise up. Please, what drills should I do to break this terrible habit or any other ideas you have? You guys are great; but this is operator error (me) which I can't overcome it!

Hey Doug! A couple of ideas. Part of the setup routine, I would encourage you to do a shoulder shrug. Picking up the shoulders into your neck and then releasing all of the tension out by letting them fall down. You do not want to use your shoulders to pick the club up on the backswing. The issue is being caused by too much tension in your arms. When you use the arms to pick up the club going back, you are engaging the muscles in your arms and shoulders. You are then using your right arm/shoulder to push the club down into impact. This right side push causes your tush/hips to go underneath you, and makes your spine angle go up, causing early extension. Your shoulders go up into your neck as you tense up at impact from using your right arm on the downswing. Best thing would be to practice with only left arm swings, but referring back to the DEAD drill will help you use your body more, and less arms in the swing. Let the arms react to using your body more. Hope this helps my friend
