I am looking at purchasing some new clubs.

I am looking at purchasing some new clubs. Mine have some age on them (Ping i-10). I have had the grooves worked on some time back. Since I am retired military, PXG give us a pretty good discount. I am looking at clubs which are forged vs cast. Definitely not looking to purchase "blades". They have a facility in Charlotte, NC, which is a couple of hours away. Has anyone been to one of their facilities to be fitted? If so, were you fitted for a driver also? Any tips on what to look/listen for? I remember watching a video, which Chuck was talking about getting fitted for a driver and he said some things about what you needed to look at in particular and some fitters didn't necessarily look at those same things.

Hello William. I personally haven't been through the PXG process, but have been fitted many times. Forged will feel better they will tend to wear a little faster for a range rat though. With the driver there are countless things I could say, but try a lot of them. Remember, the feel is important. Most players try to get too stiff a shaft and not allow the club to work for them.
