Rotary instructors can you help with this question about spine angle and the backswing.

Hi Rotary instructors can you help with this question about spine angle and the backswing. As I address the ball with the driver I tilt my spine to help with hitting up on the ball however as I’ve learnt recently I want to get my left shoulder down as I get to the top which straightens the angle. I assume it’s ok to straighten then get back into position as the shoulders move it sounds a bit dumb but I’m confused and it makes me think ???? when swinging and I don’t like that.

Hello Ronald. Even with axis tilt you should be able to rotate around the spine to maintain proper shoulder plane. The driver will be a little flatter because you are taller. The lead shoulder should still point down as you reach the top of the backswing. Take a look at How to Fix a Flat Turn for a visual.
