Craig I’ve done a couple of sessions working on Axiom Compression drills.

Hi Craig I’ve done a couple of sessions working on Axiom Compression drills. To do it properly I need a fairway lie and about 80-100 yards in front of me. So it’s a bit slow as I have to find all the balls etc. Anyway, it’s been instructive! I can tell when I’ve hit it cleanly as it feels like the club hits the ball on its own, slightly after I think I’ve completed the downswing. Much less shock on impact, better sound and good ball flight. I find it works best at about 9-3. I then went to the range and hit a couple at 165 yds which is 15 yards better than I’ve done up until now. As well as the compression drill, I find that focusing on width and the new right hand grip ‘switches on’ a better strike. I’ll keep going with this, as I’m nowhere near 80% compressed strike rate, but feeI I can get there. Thanks again! Diane

Great Diane. I like how you are building up making sure you are getting quality strike but adding yardage through efficiency vs brute force. Keep us posted!
