I did some swing practice today with my 7 iron and I’m keeping arms very much.

I did some swing practice today with my 7 iron and I’m keeping arms very much in front of me and my swing with the arms is more upright. It seems to be very beneficial I’m hitting straight shots maybe a little fade but not big misses maybe 5 yards either way which is good for me, so happy with that no more hooks or over draws. I then switched to driver and found it beneficial to have a more shallow swing. Is this common I get the clubs are different but for me the slight change makes a difference including faster. Thanks

Hello Ronald. The driver you typically have to work harder to swing from the inside and it is a requirement for the long ball  . Therefore, not unusual you felt you needed to work more on swinging in to out. Forward ball position and launch angle require this.
